Fostering mental health is the core priority of the Olaf Pine Foundation. War kills not only physically. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian military and civilians urgently need assistance overcoming trauma. Millions will need it tomorrow.

OUR PRINCIPLES

There is no shame in breaking.

We can all break.

We can all heal.

No one can do your inner work for you.

But this does not mean that you should or need to do it alone.

The future of humanity is in people and machine intelligence working together for

the improvement of human beings, society, nature, and our shared universe.

Facing Life

The Facing Life project works towards reducing and preventing suicides caused by PTSD or by other kinds of acute stress disorders. The project is predominantly focused on helping war veterans, law enforcement and security services veterans, active military, and medics. We have also discerned that members of their families often need help too.

By promoting the use of best practices, knowledge, methodologies, and modern technology for early and effective diagnosis and treatment of PTSD and other mental disorders, we strive to not only reduce suicides but to also create a workable system that will be helping persons suffering a PTSD or ASD to heal and improve their lives.

Based on experiences in the USA, the peak in suicides and overt manifestations of mental health disorders among Veterans occurs in the 2nd and 8th year after participation in hostilities. In Ukraine, a sharp wave of suicides and antisocial behavior can be expected in 2022-2024, which is further complicated by the ongoing war which causes continually increasing number of people to be impacted by PTSD and othe stress disorders.
